Packing

We found out hours before we were about to leave for our trip that the college was closing. So we had to make a decision to go fast because we had no other choice. It was either come up with a new project completely or leave that moment before more things shut down. I am happy we went because we got to explore a city none of us had really spent time in, I just wish it happened at another time. I knew I was risking a little more than my team mates because I would have to move back home with my parents right after coming home due to the college closing and both my parents have weakened immune systems. I didn't want to catch COVID-19 or be a carrier and give it to my parents. While on the trip I was careful about touching things, washing my hands, and using disinfectant wipes. Then when I came home I self-quarantined for 2 weeks.
In those weeks I had time reflect over the places we went and which I would go back to. My favorite places were Main Event, IKEA and Slaps BBQ. This is because I had never been to any of those places and they all were a very pleasant surprise in their own ways. Main Event offers so much, you could be there for hours and not get bored. IKEA was huge and I loved all the displays, I also bought Alan there, even though he broke an hour later. Slap's BBQ was the best BBQ I have ever had and that's saying a lot since I grew up on a farm eating having BBQ every Sunday. Kansas City had a lot more to offer than I originally thought.
