Client
Roles: Multimedia Strategist, Videographer, Video Editor
As Strategist I had to heavily research and chat with the client to figure out what their need was and how could I achieve it in a video format. The client wanted to patients to know of their welcoming environment for kids and how friendly the staff is there. I achieved this from the POV of a child on their first visit and how the client made them comfortable in a scary situation for some kids. I worked closely with the Brand Strategist and Graphic Designer to build a brand guide. This video will soon appear on the companies website, specifically their front homepage. It has been posted to their social media's in the meantime.

As Strategist I had to heavily research and chat with the client to figure out what their need was and how could I achieve it in a video format. The client was looking to increase Veteran enrollment in the Nursing Program at Lincoln Campus University of Nebraska Medical Center. This was one of four parts for each campus that demonstrates you can get the same quality education and resources at each campus with a slight variation on environment. I interviewed multiple students across the campuses in Nebraska asking specific questions about their experiences both at UNMC as well as in the military and how they correlate together in their quest for education. This was the main recruitment video including more than one interview and is longer in length. Used UNMC branding.

I oversaw this project and gave strategic advice that guided the way this video was filmed and edited. The Institutional Equity and Compliance was a delicate client because of the issues they help students with. The client wanted to show they are accessible to everyone, protect identity, and dedicated to providing students with resources. To achieve this in the video we used a range of race and genders to demonstrate welcoming to everyone. The students in the videos faces are not shown to protect their identity. The pamphlets shown throughout represent all the resources the office provides. This is a University of Nebraska Client so there was a branding to follow. Class
Roles: Host, Videographer, Video Editor
I was lucky enough to work a semester as a Multimedia Strategist at Jacht Advertising Agency through the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. It counted as my Broadcast Capstone. As a final project I had to make video about my role at Jacht, what I learned at the college, and identify an industry trend.
Roles: Director, Writer, Videographer
This single person interview used multiple cameras to give break up the interview visually. I was in charge of the interview portion so I not only filmed the main interview but came up with the questions to ask the subject.
Roles: Actor, Writer, Audio, Graphic Designer
This video was filmed all in one take. A lot pre-production had to be done to achieve this. That is where I came in where I wrote the scripted, create the sets, and made the entire audio track to be played over my acting. Using a television studio with multiple sets and multiple cameras. The Director and Technical Director had to use a TriCaster switch board.
Roles: Actor, Writer
The goal was to create a dramatic scene. Each character was representative of the typical member in a group project. As a writer is was interesting to see what I wrote be filmed and edited out of my hands.
Roles: Writer, Editor
Preproduction I wrote out the questions to be asked and storyboarded shots. The videographer was unable to get all the shots so as an editor it was my job to get creative. The video changed from a regular interview to a fun commentary on Brent, our Pizza Driver who is not known to be the most elegant of speakers. Using After Effects I made basic animations throughout for visual interest.
Finalist for NBS Competition - Video Comedy Segment
Roles: Host, Writer, Graphic Designer
This video was filmed as a livestream on a virtual set so a lot of preparation had to be done before. It was later submitted to the 2022 NBS Competition and was one of three nominated for the Video Comedy Segment, it finished as second finalist.
Roles: Director, Writer, Videographer, Editor
The goal was to tell a story in 30-seconds. Using a Film Nior style and the classic detective/suspect storyline I added a twist at the end.
Roles: Videographer, Writer, Audio, Editor
This video was filmed all on a 360 camera using keyframes to specially set my framing. First time using a 360 camera to make single framed video. The wide lens, grain on the video, and audio was used to evoke a suspenseful uneasy feeling throughout.
Roles: Actor, Writer, Editor
The goal was to make a music video to match a vibe of a song. This upbeat song gave the feeling of hanging out with friends, maybe up to no good. A music video does not have to be all about the music specific scenes where added at the beginning and end to help tell the story. Exact timing was needed for basic animations and transitions between clips.
Roles: Editor
My Advanced Videography class wrote and filmed an action sequence together. The goal was to use the footage captured and make our own edit. I filmed a good portion of the clips on the shoot date. Whilst editing I decided to take a different turn than originally planned and created a dramatic scene from the footage. Using an ominous voice to help tell the story of a cheating girl, a jealous boyfriend, and someone out for revenge.
